## Paying for AI

The plan prices above don't include credits. Bring your own AI: connect your Claude or ChatGPT subscription, or your own OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter API key, and the agent runs on that.

If you'd rather not, use Draftbit credits:

- Monthly add-on on any paid plan: from $25/month (26,250 credits) to $1,000/month (1,150,000 credits).
- One-time purchase: from $5 at 1,000 credits per dollar.
- Credits expire one year after they're added to your account.

## FAQ

### Do I need an AI subscription?

No, but most people use one. Connect your Claude or ChatGPT subscription, or an OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter key, and the agent runs on that. If you don't have one, the Free plan's 3,000 credits let you try Draftbit first, and any paid plan can add more. On Free, your own AI covers 20 agent runs a week. Paid plans have no weekly limit.

### Can I change my plan at any time?

Yes. Upgrades apply right away with a prorated charge and restart your billing cycle. Downgrades and cancellations take effect at the end of the current period, and you keep the paid features until then.

### What happens to my projects if I downgrade?

Your projects and apps stay in your account and stay open. From the day the lower plan starts, you cannot create projects or apps beyond its limits, and features above the plan, such as code export or app store publishing, lock until you upgrade again. Custom MCP servers stop being used by the agent, and editors beyond the plan's seats can view apps but not change them. Custom domains keep working for 30 days, then they're disconnected.

### Do credits roll over to the next month?

Yes, for up to a year. Credits expire one year after they're added to your account, whether they come from a monthly plan, a credit package, a one-time purchase, or a reward. Yearly plans get the whole year's credits up front, and they last for that year. Unused credits carry over, and the credits that expire soonest are always spent first.

### What are credits used for?

Credits pay for the AI model calls that Draftbit funds, which happen in agent threads while an agent reads, plans, and changes your app. Each call costs the provider's price for that model plus a Draftbit markup, so a long task across many files costs more than a small edit. Threads that run on your own OpenAI, Anthropic, or OpenRouter key skip credits.

### Can I try before I commit?

Yes. The Free plan has no time limit and includes the AI agents, the visual editor, a one-time grant of 3,000 credits, and web publishing on a draftbit.dev address. Upgrade when you need code export, a custom domain, or app store publishing.

### What payment methods do you accept?

Visa, Mastercard, and American Express, processed by Stripe. Prices are in USD. Enterprise customers can arrange invoice billing.
