We're simplifying the most challenging parts of mobile app development to allow builders everywhere to create rich, complex apps.
No more starting from scratch from a blank screen. No more lock-in with tools with limited self-hosted databases or restricted access to source code.
We empower people to build their app their way. We do that by giving builders visual tools to streamline screen layout, navigation, and workflows alongside direct access to their app code so they can bring in the custom functions and components that make their apps unique. We give you building blocks, not templates.
We have spent the past few years creating a solid product foundation and getting early feedback from our beta users. We have support from investors who have backed companies like Figma, Twitter, and Twitch. While we still have much to prove, we're poised to grow and are looking for teammates to join us in taking that next leap together.
Draftbit is a platform that allows users to build React Native-based mobile apps visually. Building in Draftbit doesn't require that users code (except for certain advanced features), but it does require some knowledge of:
As a result, our docs and tutorials are critical aspects of our user's success and are an extension of the product itself.
You will be responsible for creating and maintaining documentation of all features in Draftbit. Our product changes rapidly, so our docs need to keep pace.
You will also create tutorials and guides that provide our users step-by-step instructions for how to accomplish specific goals in Draftbit. These tutorials will be part of community.draftbit.com
To do this, you'll build screens and apps yourself in our product to help showcase what's possible to others. We expect you'll quickly become a power user of Draftbit.
You'll work with our engineering and success teams to help set priorities and to be a resource for questions, but we expect you to largely self-manage and work autonomously.
This is a freelance, part-time, output-focused role. We are open to both hourly or pay-per-deliverable arrangements. Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit portfolio examples.
If you are an engineer who loves teaching others how to build software, this could be the role for you.
If you're someone with experience as a technical writer/has written product documentation for software products used by developers, this role could be for you.
Experience building React Native apps, or educating others on how they are built, required.
Additionally, your colleagues would describe you as:
